Why you are motivated to be involved and support the organisation’s mission and objectives?
We, in the UK are blessed to live in a country which provides free education and healthcare without judgement. However, the situation care experienced people find themselves in is once they age out of care is one of the tragedies of our time. Career Matters provides a bright light in a dark place, supporting young people to make the best of themselves and I am thrilled to support Career Matters as an Advisory Board member.
Role at Career Matters
As an Advisory Board Member I am a critical friend to Career Matters, helping to support its spread and scale in a meaningful way.
I am an NHS Manager with experience working in a variety of NHS organisations including acute, community and mental health providers. I go to work to be a part of supporting people to live better lives and have better deaths. I am also one of the organisers of TEDxNHS, an organisation which harnesses 'storytelling for change' in order to improve the health of the nation.
