Why you are motivated to be involved and support the organisation’s mission and objectives?
I am delighted to be part of the Thrive project. All societies should ultimately be judged by how well they respond to the needs of the most vulnerable, and for too long care leavers have suffered from lower economic outcomes and fewer opportunities. Thrive offers a genuine chance to find ways to change this.
Headline experience
Alastair Falk is an education consultant, currently working with the Foundation for Education Development fed.education, where he runs their virtual roundtables. He has previously worked as Head of Education at the Careers and Education Company and was the first CEO of the Birmingham Education Partnership. He has also been a Headteacher of three schools, and Director of the Reed Foundation's Enterprise Schools Network, where he devised England's first Level 2 qualification in Enterprise Capabilities.
